Senior Solutions Architect in the Media & Entertainment vertical at AWS.
- Aug 2024 - PresentAmazon Web Services (AWS)Senior Solutions Architect, Media & Entertainment
- Sep 2023 - Aug 2024ParamountSenior Manager
In this role I had the responsibility of managing a small team while still being hands on as a solutions architect. As a team, we worked with the business to solve complex problems. We served internal clients across the CBS News organizations and supported the solutions we implemented. We worked with external vendors daily to do things like: drive initiatives, solve complex issues, provide feedback and manage project timelines.
The main difference between my previous Solutions Architect role and this is I had a team to help with the workload. Now the internal clients were able to get their problems solved faster which gave us more time to focus on complex issues. I made sure the team had time set aside each week to perform training and perform consistent working sessions showing off new workflows. I also did project management for the team and ran daily stand ups.
- Nov 2022 - Sep 2023ParamountSolutions Architect
My primary focus in this role was to help solve complex problems across CBS News. With a cloud first mentality, I worked on the migration of on-premises workflows and infrastructure to the cloud. One of my largest projects I worked on was for CBS News Archives to Digitize all of its tape library. It was my responsibility to design, develop and support all of my solutions I came up with.
Another part of this role was documenting everything and providing training on the new workflows. Which I’ve done for multiple different CBS News departments and educated a range of users from editors to engineers.
Products used in the role: Telestream Vantage, Lightspeed Live, VMWare, AWS, Asana, Lucidchart, Avid PAM/MAM, Adobe, Teradici, TrueNas, Synology, Samma, Venice, MOG, Aspera, Signiant, Sony Ci and more.

I dealt heavily with Avid MAM/MCUX and utilized Telestream Vantage to help orchestrate the automation. One of the core projects I did involved using robots to digitize tapes in a mostly automated fashion. This was to help speed up the digitization of CBS News Archives tape library.
